Draft notice for support-group and Council review. Before publication, the Council confirms: that the public site will be hosted by Cloudflare; how long each office keeps the email it receives, and who can read each mailbox; and which office runs the volunteer clearance and training request forms, and how long it keeps the answers.
Contacting the team
The contact links on this site open an email message in your own email application. You choose whether to send it. Include only the information needed for your inquiry; avoid sending personal information about other people without their permission.
Your message goes to the Council’s email at heartlandrbc.org, which is provided by Google Workspace. The office you write to reads it so it can respond:
- secretariat@heartlandrbc.org: the Council Secretariat
- RTISecretariat@heartlandrbc.org: the Regional Training Institute Secretariat
- clearance@heartlandrbc.org: the regional clearance office, for the protection of minors
Forms
The Protection of Minors page links to two Google Forms: the volunteer clearance request and the training request. What you enter in those forms is collected through Google Forms and used to arrange your background check or training. Google’s own privacy practices also apply to those forms.
Some happenings, such as Bahá’í Chat, link to a registration form or an email address run by the gathering’s organizers rather than by the Council. The organizers use what you send to give you the details you asked for, and the privacy practices of the service hosting the form also apply.
Searching the site
Search runs in your browser, using an index that comes with the site. What you enter in the search box is not sent to us or to anyone else. If you open the full results page, your search words become part of that page’s address, so the hosting service receives them along with the page request, as described below.
Website operation
The site is hosted by Cloudflare. To deliver pages and protect the site from misuse, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address, the browser you use, and the pages you request.
The site uses locally hosted fonts and does not include advertising, analytics scripts, or cookies for tracking.
Videos
The homepage offers a video hosted on YouTube, a service of Google. When you reach it, its preview image loads from YouTube’s image server, which receives technical information such as your IP address. The video player itself loads only when you press play, in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, and Google’s own privacy practices apply.
External websites
Links to the Bahá’í Reference Library, the Ruhi Institute, and other resources take you to websites operated separately. Their own privacy practices apply when you visit them.
